Glen Lake Vacation Rentals

The Studio at Birchdale

Situated on a 450 foot deep, heavily wooded lot, you will be able to escape the big city yet be within walking distance of Glen Arbor. Birchdale is a charming, older well-maintained 1 1/2-story cottage that will accommodate a family of six. The master bedroom with a queen bed is 4 steps down off the living area. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located in the upper level (pass through bedroom two with twin beds to get to bedroom three which has a full size bed).

It has a dining area, very large vaulted family room that is approximately 18 by 18 feet. It sits off to the side and back of the main house, and offers some views of the lake though the great room windows, as well as on the large deck at the front of the cottage. The cottage has it own private beach area, and sits approximately 100 feet from the water's edge. This is in the most desirable location on the lake.

This beach and water is perfect!! On Northwood Drive, it is an easy walk, jog, or bike in to Glen Arbor for coffee, shopping, and dining. The pure sand beach gives way to the perfect hard sand bottom lake. This water location gets deep very gradually, and is perfect for children and adults of all ages. This is a terrific boating location, and we have a professionally installed mooring for your boat. Without a doubt, this is a superb location for your vacation.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, and 1 1/2 baths. It has a functional fireplace in the kitchen/dining area. This cottage also has full digital cable TV and radio, high-speed Internet access, DVD, VCR, and phone. You cannot find a better location and value on Big Glen.

The prime weekly rate is $2100, Saturday to Saturday, with discounts for June, late August and fall.

Photo GalleryThe Studio sits back and off to the side of the main house ( not a rental). The stone path leads you to the fantastic beach and water. You can see the lake in the background. Photo GalleryThis shows the dining area, stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms, the small bedroom loft overlooking the dining table. Note all the tongue and groove pine paneling that provides that "up north" feeling.
Photo GalleryThis is the fully functional kitchen. Photo GalleryOne of the two bedrooms upstairs, (pass through one to get to the other), both with tongue and groove pine paneling. One of the bedrooms has twin beds, and the other has a full size bed.
Photo GalleryThis is the very large family room with vaulted ceiling and plenty of room for the entire family. This room is approximately 18 feet by 18 feet. Limited views of the lake. Photo GalleryAnother angle from the family room. The brick wall is the back of the fireplace that opens to the kitchen. There is a see through opening between the dining area and the family room, making both rooms more open.
Photo GalleryThis is a very large deck, complete with a full size picnic table, chairs, and gas grill. Photo GalleryWow. This is some of the very best beach and water on Glen Lake! There is a single section dock available for your use, a professionally installed mooring, firepit ( wood provided), beach chairs and a 13 foot row.
Photo GalleryThis picture, taken on your dock, shows the sandy beach. The cottage sets back off the water and is straight back from the dock. The house to the left is the main house that is used sparing. The small cottage to the right is part of the neighbor's homestead. Despite this looking somewhat crowded, it is exactly the opposite. This location is very, very quiet and private. Photo GalleryThis is the view of your cottage from the main house entrance. Again, this main house is sparing used. This picture is here to give you some idea that while the cottage sits back off the water about 100 feet, it does have direct views of the water through the trees.
TITLEThis picture is taken on the stairs, looking down over the dining room, and at eye level with the small loft area off the one bedroom. Again, look at the tongue and groove pine paneling. Photo GalleryThis is the lower bedroom ( with rear direct entrance) and now has a queen bed ( vice the twin beds shown). This room is 4 steps down from the living area. The full bathroom is just off this bedroom, with the half bath just a few feet away as well.
